Event Description: Sunday, July 20 during the Maritime Heritage Festival See the Life-Saving Station staff team up with active-duty Coast Guardsmen to demonstrate the breeches buoy, a system that allowed surfmen to rescue shipwreck victims from shore. Demonstration includes firing the Lyle gun, a small cannon, and a rescue from the “wreck pole”. Cost: $6.50/adult; $5/senior (62 and up); $4/youth (6-12); 5 and under are free Includes museum admission

4 Mile Run through Fresh Pond State Park

 

The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce the inaugural Ocean to Bay Run during the commemorative 25th Ocean to Bay Bike Tour weekend. The beautiful, certified to official USAT&F 4-mile course highlights the bayside Delaware Seashore State Park, Fresh Pond.  The run will begin and end at Presenting Sponsor: Mangnolia's Seafood Bar & Grille. Here runners will be able to enjoy breakfast upon completion of the run.

 

Registration Cost: $25
$25 registration is capped at 250 participants. All runners will receive a numbered bib, a one of a kind 2014 signature "Splash" towel, and delicious breakfast compliments of Magnolia's.
Online Registration will close April 2oth.
