Songs like “Love is a Battlefield”, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”, “Heartbreaker”, “Promises In The Dark” and “We Belong” are as unforgettable now as they were at the dawn of MTV, when Pat emerged, fearless, fighting and forging a path for other female rock stars around the world. Neil Giraldo has been a professional musician, producer, arranger and songwriter for over four decades now, changing the face of the pop charts throughout the 1980s with his collaborator, muse and wife, Pat Benatar. More than just an explosive steel-bending guitar player, Giraldo’s innovative vision helped him create the signature Benatar sound, from its inception. His impressive back catalog includes more than 100 songs written, produced, arranged and recorded for Benatar, as well as many hits he helped create for John Waite, Rick Springfield, Kenny Loggins, Steve Forbert, The Del Lords, Beth Hart and countless others. The Uncle Devin Show

The Uncle Devin Show

Date: 8/10/2013
Time: 10:00 AM

31750 Lake View Drive
Selbyville, DE 19975

Phone:

Event Description: The Uncle Devin Show is a live, interactive musical experience for children that cultivates their minds - a dynamic cross between Fat Albert and Schoolhouse Rock. Uncle Devin is both a drummer and percussionist, and, therefore, is known as the original “Drumcussionist.” He uses an assortment of percussion instruments, including cowbells, triangles, shakers, congas and timbales, as learning tools in his message. Free for all. Seating will be provided. Rucker signed with Capitol Records Nashville in 2007 and released his country debut, Learn to Live, in 2008 which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. His first record garnered three consecutive No. 1 singles and earned him the CMA New Artist of the Year Award. When Rucker returned to the studio with Frank Rogers to record his sophomore release, he penned 77 songs for the album with the last song written becoming the lead single, “Come Back Song.” The result was the chart-topping October 2010 release, Charleston, SC 1966, which has produced two No. 1’s with “Come Back Song” and “This.” Rucker’s shows center around the music found on his country albums, but occasionally he will embrace his Hootie & The Blowfish heritage by turning “Let Her Cry” into a very sad, slow country tune or rely on the acoustic intro to “Hold My Hand” to really rile up the crowd before the sultry lyrics pour out. As many times as we’ve all heard those hits, the renditions he has created with his country band, The Carolina Grey Boys, create virtually unrecognizable versions of the monster hits. With country chart-toppers peppering the set, it’s rowdy crowd hits like “Family Tradition” and “Purple Rain” that truly showcase Rucker’s vocal prowess and remind you of just how deep his southern roots run. Tickets start at $50. This is an assigned seating event.
