Event Description: Blue Steel Band is the commercial, poplar music ensemble of the United States Air Force Academy Band. These full time, active duty bandsmen are committed to enhancing community relations, supporting the recruiting mission of the United States Air Force Academy and instilling the Air Force core values of integrity. The group performs high energy music from a variety of genres, and their versatility and dynamic stage presence enables them to tell the Air Force story to audience members of all ages. Free!

Fenwick Island's Public Safety Building Dedication

On May 26th the Town of Fenwick Island and Mayor Audrey Serio formally opened the new public safety building. The dedication began with the Presentation of the Colors by the Marine Corps League First State Detachment of Delaware and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Audrey Serio then said a few words thanking all those that have contributed in getting the project to fruition after years of planning. She then introduced the Special Guests and Vice Mayor Todd Smallwood before turning the podium over to the Guest Speaker, Fred Wise, commandant, Marine Corps League Department of Delaware. There was then a moment of silence to honor our fallen service members and the Retirement of the colors.

Additional remarks were then made by Mayor Audrey Serio, Council Member, William Weistinling, Jr. and Chief of Police Willian H. Boyden. Mayor Audrey Serio then led the cutting of the ribbon officially opening the new Public Safety Building.. A reception followed.
