Event Description: Sunday, July 20 during the Maritime Heritage Festival See the Life-Saving Station staff team up with active-duty Coast Guardsmen to demonstrate the breeches buoy, a system that allowed surfmen to rescue shipwreck victims from shore. Demonstration includes firing the Lyle gun, a small cannon, and a rescue from the “wreck pole”. Cost: $6.50/adult; $5/senior (62 and up); $4/youth (6-12); 5 and under are free Includes museum admission
